Cable Types And Their Descriptions

By Cynthia Snyder

Even with the wireless techs available nowadays, you still cannot underestimate the importance of cables. They stand as the bridge for the connection to happen as that is basically where everything travels so it gets to wherever it needs to be, can be electricity, signals, waves and so on. And when something goes wrong, you sure would not be able to take advantage of the thing you are trying to use so you opt for cable equipment repair.

And speaking of repair, these specific procedures will lower the chances and possibilities of accidents that are merely cause by faulty cable lines. That is totally dangerous and threatening as it can affect lives of people including yours. That being said you should when and where to seek for such services if necessary.

Anyway, its repair pretty much depend on the type of cable it is on the line. With that, there are specific conditions and requirements that are met to make the repair possible. But, your basic knowledge on the cable types would help you out as well in determining the help that you will be needing.

Then there are paired cables. This ones are of two insulated conductors and happens to insulated on an individual manner. Due to that composition, they are often seen go hand in hand in DC and other low frequency AC applications as that things are what they are capable of supporting.

Paired cables are next on the list. As its name suggests, there are two cables that are combined though these two are individually insulated conductors. That composition makes them highly appropriate for AC and DC application. Although, the AC application would require low frequency so it can fully support the necessary operation.

You have as well the paired cables wherein its consisted of insulated wirings that are combined to do the task. These wires are both insulated in a way to ensure that its capability is on its optimal stage. These are commonly being used on those application that has something to do with AC and DC.

Twisted pairs are a bit similar to paired cables. They have as well those insulated wired but then its inter wound and is twisted against each other. That is the biggest difference this thing has than that of the latter that was mentioned. Though, in purpose they got pretty much the same line supported.

Then you got the twisted pair that are exactly similar to how paired cables are in character. These are two wires that are both with insulated mechanism and are combined to make it possible. However, as its name suggest, its twisted like in the literal manner. That is the only thing that makes it different than the paired one.

And then there is twin lead which you can notice when using flat wire line types of cable. It has an impedance of three hundred ohms which basically is the mere reason why its referred to as the three hundred ohm line. It was derived from there and it greatly affected its capability to support on devices that has antennas in it.
